On December 7th, 2022 the German Generalbundesanwalt, which is similar to the US Attorney Generals office, launched a massive raid to round up alleged conspirators plotting a Coup d'etat against the Federal Republic of Germany [1]. The objective of this Coup was to reestablish the old German monarchy dating back over a century to the Second Reich, which existed before the Weimar Republic was established after the end of World War 1. The Weimar Republic was organized in an attempt to appear reformed to the west, after German General Erich Ludendorff's catastrophic defeat during the Second Battle of the Marne, and prevent the Soviet socialist from gaining control due to the internal Spartacus revolt. The Weimar Republic was never popular to the insiders of German politics, but it was a necessary facade to appease the west. The Weimar Republic struggled economically under the very unfavorable Treaty of Versailles, which eventually lead to the ascension of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. Under the dominion of their overloads, which being the the United States, Germany has maintained a democratic structure of government since the close of World War 2. However, times have changed over the last 80 years. The Soviets are gone. and the world has developed into a global mutually-dependent economy. Energy produced by oil and gas has become the life blood of new world order. The Russians have invaded Ukraine recapturing some of their old post WW2 territory they lost during perestroika. In response, the NATO countries have responded to the invasion even though Ukraine is not a NATO member by contributing resources. Germany once dependent on Russian energy sources is now cut themselves off from energy. Currently, Germany has very little energy resources, and is experiencing the effects of a global economic down turn all during the winter time, in addition to, the burden of assisting Ukraine. Will history repeat itself?

The rebel alliance of conspirators was lead by a former Prince named Heinrich VIII of the House of Reuss whose family ruled for 800 years and owned land holdings in Thueringen state bequeathed to them by the emperor dating back to the first German Reich which was the Holy Roman Empire. Although the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany forbids the use of titles associated with royalty similar to the US Constitution, Heinrich VIII still refereed to himself as Prince, and he was hoping to be Kaiser[2]. He had made speeches about his agenda by expounding a tax rate that was just 10%, and government structures with greater transparency and accountability. He appealed to the people that Germany was not a sovereign state but a corporation set up by foreign powers to turn a profit at the expense of the German people. Heinrich VIII had used a go between Russian national named Vitalia (female) to interface with the Russian government in an attempt to gain support after the Bundestag was under his control. Obviously, the Russians and ex KGB agent Vladimir Putin deny any contact with the coup 😏.

Heinrich VIII team consisted of a Judge (Birgit Malsack-Winkemann), Parliamentary law makers, a former senior field officer (Rüdiger von Pescatore ), a pilot, and members of Bundeswehr's KSK elite force. Rudiger Von Pescatore was in charge of planning the assault and Heinrich was in charge of planning the political future. In addition, several media outlets are making connections to the Reichsbuerger movement which is estimated to have 21000 members, however, The Generalbundesanwalt has not confirmed the association beyond ideological connections with any far right groups [3]. Heinrich VIII and company had been stock piling weapons and training since November 2021. They used very expensive Iridium Satellite phones to communicate in case the electrical grid was unavailable. Thus, disabling the electrical grid appears to have been part of the plan. According to the Generalbundesanwalt (German Attorney General) the plan was to storm the German parliament on Day X with 24 men by armed force and seize control and handcuff MPs and parliamentary staff [4].

The official German government story-line to the cause of the coup is directed at a Conspiracy Theory held by the Reichsbürger movement that the German democratic government is an illegitimate construct that replaced the German monarch of the Third Reich after WW2. Many of the native Germans in the Reichsburger movement are middle class everyday working volks. Many media outlets have tried to connect the attempted Coup D'etat with the American QAnon movement, and the January 6th capital protest. The Reichsbuerger movement does have a branch located in Nevada, USA, but some how making this plot connected to political events in the United States seems a bit like blame shifting. The fact that the German government is involved in a proxy war with Russia, and that one of the conspirators was a Russian agent and lover of the ringleader Heinrich VIII would give more credence to the meddling of Vladimir Putin into German affairs. In addition, Vladimir Putin has proclaim himself to be the Modern day monarch "Peter the great" [5].

It was the Weimar Republic, a democracy, that imprisoned monarch Adolf Hitler prior to WW2. So today, we see the Federal Republic of Germany, a democracy, that incarcerated Heinrich VIII. The concept of Empire runs deep in European culture and it is going to be a long cold winter for the German people who will have to live with the dirty migrants that the United States tells them they should welcome.
